Michelle Theobald is a Vancouver based artist who grew up in beautiful White Rock, BC. Michelle always enjoyed art classes and pottery as a child and had great inspiration from her grandma Doreen who was a skilled painter and stained glass artist as well as from her mom, Judy who was always doing some sort of craft or toll painting.
After high school Michelle took her first stained glass class and dabbled in the art form for a few years while finishing university and eventually graduating with a diploma in Marketing Management. While in school Michelle worked in the busy restaurant scene on White Rock Beach and discovered her love of wine. Wanting to merge her education with her new found passion for wine she earned an Advanced Certificate in Wine and Spirits Education in 2009 from internationally recognized WSET. Meanwhile in 2008 she married and bought her first home in the Hastings-Sunrise neighbourhood of East Vancouver and started her career in the wine and spirits industry as a wine sales rep.
Fast forward to 2015 after the birth of her second child Michelle felt a calling to go back to making art and decided to take another stained glass class. There was an instant love and connection to the art form and she has not looked back since!
Copper & Came Stained Glass was founded in 2016.
